Communities of Color Inclusion Circle, July 29

Jul. 27, 2014 / By

Community members are invited to participate in Community Inclusion Circle Series, a collaboration between California Conference for Equality and Justice (CCEJ), Building Healthy Communities: Long Beach and South Coast Interfaith Council on July 29 @ 5:30 pm8:00 pm.

Community Inclusion Circles Series creates opportunities to build relationships through the power of community. In circle we will explore our own experiences to build a more inclusive community support system. Learn about restorative justice practices and infuse them into discussions, problem solving and community building. Throughout the series you will have an opportunity to be trained in circle keeping practices. There are no criteria to participate. The circles will have a circle keeper trained in restorative practices and help set the circle guidelines, get the circle going and step back into the participant role so that the circle can organically grow. Prompts in the circle are various and often light and low risk.  Circles hold very deep conversations as they allow participants to move the conversation. The magic of a circle brings people together affording community to develop without being facilitated.

Please RSVP to Christopher Covington at (562) 435-8184

Thank you to our partners and to The California Endowment who is making this project possible for our community.
