Building Healthy Communities: Long Beach is recruiting 10 AmeriCorps members to serve as mentors within local school sites and after-school programs.  AmeriCorps members engage and support youth through mentoring, leadership development, tutoring, community projects and team building events.

AmeriCorps service is full-time beginning August 20, 2012 and ending July 20, 2013.  AmeriCorps members will receive a monthly stipend, health benefits and a $5,550 Education Award upon successful completion of the service term!
