Leadership Long Beach is a nonprofit organization which conducts an intensive 10-month course on personal leadership skills and understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges of the Long Beach community. According to their website, they accomplish this “..Through experiential learning and in-depth discussions, participants increase their knowledge of Long Beach and the surrounding cities. The program explores contemporary issues with key individuals and stakeholders, gaining knowledge and data to be able to make informed decisions going forward in their professional, civic and personal careers.”
Part of that process of learning about the city is to immerse themselves in topics of importance. Recently, the LLB Class of 2012 got a brain full of creativity during Arts Day. They visited a number of Arts-related venues in the city. VoiceWaves.org caught up with them in the East Village.
